What you will work on
Our GIS platform shows the map of school infrastructure and new thematic layers. You will collect, check and publish spatial data so that education decisions can rely on it.
Responsibilities
- Collect and process spatial data from government agencies, field surveys and satellite imagery
- Create and update thematic layers in QGIS and ArcGIS
- Maintain the PostGIS spatial database and monitor data quality
- Prepare maps, thematic maps and analytical reports for partners
- Publish layers via GeoServer for the platform's web interfaces
- Travel to the regions to verify data on site
Requirements
- Degree in geography, geodesy, cartography or GIS
- At least 1 year of experience with QGIS or ArcGIS
- Knowledge of PostGIS and SQL basics
- Understanding of coordinate systems and projections; experience georeferencing rasters
- Tajik and Russian; English is an advantage
Nice to have
- Python skills for automating tasks are a plus
