One of the main areas of activity of the public organization “Jurat” is participating in and making a significant contribution to the development of the education sector in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region.

Building on the foundation laid over many years and the accumulated experience in the educational process, the organization considers it a priority to develop the system by introducing and effectively using new forms and methods of teaching. These approaches allow moving beyond rigid, top-down prescribed curriculum standards.

The public organization Jurat considers its primary goal to be raising the level of education among children, teenagers, and youth to meet modern standards. This will help expand their opportunities for future development—preparing them for admission to prestigious educational institutions both near and far abroad, equipping them for effective professional work, and fulfilling their spiritual needs.

Since 2016, our organization has been working in the following areas:

• Teaching foreign languages, especially English and Russian;

• In-depth study of the exact sciences, primarily mathematics;

• Mastering the basics of financial literacy;

• Training in skills and the use of modern computer technology.

Despite difficulties and obstacles, during its activity, the public organization “Jurat” has successfully organized courses for advanced English language study.

In 2016, only one group of students was organized, reaching a total of 17 people, with lessons held in a private home. Today, there are already 54 groups with a total of 2,144 participants, not only in the Rushan district but also in the Darvaz, Vanj, and Shughnan districts.

One of the key criteria for the organization’s activities is the creation of new jobs and the employment of unemployed specialists. Currently, 56 highly qualified teachers work with us, 48 of whom are women.

To ensure the successful organization of the educational process, the public organization “Jurat” has established mutually beneficial contacts with local authorities, NGOs, entrepreneurs, and others. Special importance is given to the relationship with the Secondary Professional Educational Institutions of the Aga Khan University (SPNO UCA) regarding various issues related to the educational development of our clients.
