February 5th marked a historic milestone for the education system of the Khatlon region. As part of the large-scale e-Khonish project, the city of Bokhtar has begun the rollout of the e-Khonish digital educational platform, marking the beginning of a new digital era.
The initial pilot launch took place at State Lyceum No. 1 and General Secondary School No. 2 in Bokhtar. This launch serves as the starting point for a phased implementation of e-Khonish across city schools, with plans to eventually expand throughout the entire Khatlon region.

A Phased Digital Transformation
The platform is being introduced in stages. Following integration, each school undergoes a 30-day trial period. During this time, technical fine-tuning and data verification are conducted in parallel with comprehensive technical and pedagogical support for teachers and school administrators.
Upon completion of the trial period, educational institutions will transition to full-scale, independent operation in a digital format.
Building the Foundation of Knowledge
This achievement is the result of meticulous preparation throughout the past year. We spent 2025 laying network infrastructure, configuring servers, and training teams. The groundwork established last year became the invisible yet solid framework that allowed us to hit the “Start” button today.
Digitalization is not a replacement for textbooks, but an expansion of horizons. Today, 2,008 students and 81 teachers gained access to modern tools, including electronic gradebooks, online resources, and real-time performance monitoring systems.

Project Voices: Why It Matters
We spoke with those who will be using the system daily to understand what this launch means for them:
“For school leadership, e-Khonish represents transparency. Now I can view the overall academic performance of the school with a single click. This allows us to respond faster to student needs and support our teachers where they need it most.” — Director of a participating school
“It’s a bit intimidating at first, as anything new is. However, I believe we will adapt quickly. Most importantly, we can now dedicate more time to what matters most—our lessons and interacting with the children.” — Experienced Teacher
Benefits for Parents and the Region
The e-Khonish project in the Khatlon region is a step toward ensuring high-quality education is accessible to everyone, regardless of geography. Parents in Bokhtar can now have peace of mind: they remain “connected” to the school, with the ability to monitor attendance and homework assignments online.
Today, we are celebrating more than just the implementation of technology; we are celebrating the success of people who believe in the potential of our children.
Welcome to the new era of education, Bokhtar!
