In the autumn of 2019, a sports ground was commissioned in the village of Shpatd, Rushan district. This facility was built with the support and assistance of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan and the local district government. The public organization “Jurat,” as the initiator of the construction, involved a wide circle of local youth who had shown great interest in the project over several years.
In a relatively short period, construction work was completed, including laying the foundation, building a stone retaining wall along the highway, and constructing a spectator stand on the northern side.
The final stage of the work included installing a protective net, painting, and arranging areas for sports activities.
The most active participants in carrying out the organizational and practical measures were the staff and volunteers of the public organization “Jurat.” For example, they approached the welding work with particular care to ensure the reliability of safety measures.
On the day the sports ground was officially opened, the joy of the residents of Shpat knew no bounds. The celebration was attended by the First Deputy Chairman of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, the head of the district administration, representatives of the community, and, of course, residents of Shpat of all ages. They expressed their happiness and excitement with lively songs and dances, as well as demonstrations of traditional crafts and folk products. The festive event concluded with a friendly volleyball match between players from Shpat village and their peers from Dekh.
