The opening of the library was attended by the Chairman of the Khatlon region Davlatali Said, heads of cities and district, region and the founder of the NGO “Jurat” Khushvakhtov S. Z. The event became an example of how the state and civil society join forces for the sake of a common future – education, knowledge and opportunities for youth.

The rebuilding of the library named after Shamsiddin Shokhin is part of the broader mission of the Juraat NGO: to develop technology, awaken interest in reading and increase the digital literacy of the population. We believe that such projects help to form a generation that feels equally confident in the world of literature and in the world of modern technology.

NGO “Jurat” will continue to promote efforts in the field of education and digitalization, provide youth access to modern resources and enhance connection with government and international organizations.

The launching of a library in the Khatlon region is one step toward ensuring that all young people have equitable access to knowledge, opportunity, and inspiration.
After all, a strong country begins with a love of books and appreciation for knowledge.
